The City of Middleton is proposing to repeal and replace Chapter 10 (Zoning Ordinance), Chapter 22 (Sign Code), and Chapter 33 (Outdoor Lighting Code), and to adopt a new Zoning Map. Upon adoption of the ordinances and new zoning map, all properties in the City that are not located in a Planned Development District will receive a new zoning classification.
A hearing on the possible changes will take place Tuesday, November 14 at 7 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers, 7426 Hubbard Avenue.
The proposed ordinances and zoning map are available for review on the City of Middleton’s website at www.cityofmiddleton.us/zoning and are also available for inspection at Middleton City Hall weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. During the hearing, all interested persons will have an opportunity to speak or register their opinion. Comments will be limited to three minutes per speaker. Statements may also be provided to City staff by 1:00 p.m. on the day of the hearing. Following the hearing, the Plan Commission may make a recommendation to the Middleton Common Council. For additional information, or to provide a statement prior to the hearing, contact Mark Opitz, City Planner & Zoning Administrator at mopitz@cityofmiddleton.us or at 608-821-8394.
