Middleton’s ultimate team continued one of the most successful runs in Wisconsin high school history by defeating Madison West, 13-6, on May 24 at University Bay Fields to capture their third consecutive state championship.
Middleton has qualified for the High School National Invite (HSNI), scheduled for June 12-13 in Salem, Oregon. The event features the top 16 high school teams in the nation competing for a national championship.
The appearance will be the first in program history and the first by a Wisconsin boys team since Madison West competed at the event in 2019, finishing fifth nationally.
“HSNI has been a goal for this program for several years,” said Middleton coach Ryan Natzke. “This group has talked about it, worked toward it and believed it was possible.
