SAUK CITY–Dean Alexius Woodas, born Jan. 3, 1936, in Patras, Greece, passed away peacefully on Jan. 5, 2023, surrounded by his children. Dean lived a lively and interesting life, growing up in Greece and immigrating to the US in 1955. He is survived by three children, Nick Woodas, Andy (Brenda) Woodas and Dena (Robert) Radtke; grandchildren, Melissa, Ben, Sydney, Oliver, and Abigail as well as great grandchildren and a younger brother, Dimitri Goutas.  He joins his wife, Louise Woodas, son, Alex Woodas, brother, Nick Woutas, and other family and friends as he finishes his amazing journey here on earth.

Dean was a resilient, vibrant, social, and fascinating man who was fiercely protective and loving of his friends and family. He was always one for a hearty laugh, a hug, story, or joke.

Dean was a beautician and owned the successful Grecian Curl in Middleton for close to 50 years. Not only did he make people beautiful on the outside, but he also had a gift of making people feel special on the inside.

His other loves were hunting which included trips in and out of the US. One of the best shots around so the hunting stories go! He also thoroughly enjoyed traveling with his wife and friends around the country on his Honda Goldwing.

An extraordinary man who embraced life. Yiamas!!

A private burial service was held with his family on Jan. 10, 2023. A Celebration of Life will be held on Feb. 9th, at the Dorf Haus Supper Club, 8931 County Road Y, Sauk City from 3-6 p.m. We honor this time to laugh, cry, grieve and share stories about Dean. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in memory of Dean Woodas to the Alzheimer’s Association Wisconsin Branch
